If you have had occasion to use a sea anchor or drogue in heavy  weather, complete the following questionnaire and submit for inclusion in the Drag Device Database. Please try to be accurate and please try not to exaggerate -- place a question mark in the box if you are uncertain about anything. You can print this form using the file menu "Print" command or send it via the Internet. Alternatively, you can receive a printed copy of the DDDB form by fax or mail and fill that out. Call 1-800-350-7070 if you would prefer a hard copy.

Yes, I   (name) give you my permission to release and publish my feedback. Conditions of release (if any): DATED:    SIGNED (if sending by mail or fax) _____________________  A paragraph or two (or more) of additional written feedback would be helpful. Just looking at a completed form it is difficult to ascertain why the drag device was deployed, for example. Was it deployed because the yacht was being overwhelmed? Because the crew was tired and needed to call time out? Was deployment easy? What were sea states and conditions like? Was the ride comfortable? Was chafe a problem? What was the crew's main worry or concern? Did the sea anchor do an adequate job of pulling the bow up into the seas? Did the drogue slow the boat down enough? Did it slow it down too much? Could the yacht be steered with the drogue in tow? Was the drogue deployed directly off the stern or off a quarter? Was retrieval easy? Did the drag device save the boat and crew? Feel free to provide any and all opinions, observations and suggestions.
